Our statement: We at De Eekhoorn Dutch Furniture feel that it is essential that data is correctly processed and handled, and that the personal data we receive is and remains confidential. De Eekhoorn Dutch Furniture is the Responsible Party where data processing is concerned. In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we collect and use, and our objective in doing so.
General: Through our portal, privacy-sensitive data, i.e. personal data, is processed in support of drop shipment orders. De Eekhoorn Dutch Furniture considers it to be of paramount importance that personal data is handled with care. As such, we carefully process and secure personal data. In the processing process, we adhere to the requirements dictated by Dutch privacy legislation. This means that among other things:
Use of personal data: As you use our business portal, we collect certain information from you. This may include personal data. We only use and save the personal data collected in the context of the service you requested, or the data that, upon its provision, is clearly intended to be processed by us. We use the following data for the objectives stated in this privacy statement:
Concluding an order: When a drop shipment order is placed through our portal, we use personal data in the conclusion thereof. In the event that it is necessary to properly conclude the order, we may provide personal data to third parties. More information on this matter is provided later in this privacy statement.
Contact form and newsletter: Through our webshop, we enable you to ask us questions by way of a contact form. This form requires you to provide a range of information so that your question can be processed. The information that you provide will be saved for as long as is necessary to fully answer and process your question, as is dictated by the nature of the form or the content of your e-mail. We offer a newsletter through which we inform interested parties of our products and/or services. Each issue contains a link that can be used to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Your e-mail address will only be added to the list of subscribers following receipt of your express authorisation to do so.
Publication: We publish no customer data.
Provision to third parties: We may provide personal data to our partners. These partners are involved in the performance of the agreement.

Security: We have taken adequate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorised access to personal data. Retention periods: The personal data described above will be retained for as long as is necessary to complete your order, including the warranty. After this period has passed, we will retain the data for a maximum of three years in connection with the stated warranty and for statistic purposes. The data will then be erased, unless law requires us to retain it for longer, such as the seven years fiscal retention obligation for payment details.
Third-party websites: The privacy statement does not apply to third-party websites that are connected to our webshop by way of links. We cannot guarantee that these third parties treat your personal data in a reliable or secure way. We recommend that you read the privacy statements provided by these websites before making use of them.
